He truly understood the importance of studying and knowing God’s word so that he could live according to God's will and perfect plan for his life. God has revealed Himself through the Bible and calls us to read and know it, so that we might be able to know Him.
The word of God, as contained in the Bible, is the source from which true believers derive their strength. It provides direction, hope, peace, and understanding to all who are spiritually enlightened and apply its precepts in their lives.
