Youth are not the church of tomorrow – they're the Church of Today! At Velocity, Young People learn how to live positive lives in an increasingly negative world. Designed with teens in mind, the Youth Center provides an atmosphere where they can grow spiritually and socially as well. Cool activities, live music, and youth-focused teaching highlight this ministry.
Velocity, the youth ministry of Cornerstone, assists parents by partnering with them in their God-given role of teaching and training their youth to (1) know God, (2) cultivate Christ-likeness, (3) apply scriptural truth to daily life, and (4) serve God and others.

1) Connect with God.
God actually longs for people to know Him (Hosea 6:6). Our desire is that our teens have a heart knowledge that knows God experientially and personally, not just a head knowledge that knows about Him (Jeremiah 9:23-24).

2) Grow in God.
This is Gods desire for each of His children (Romans 8:29). However, this growth can only take place as we connect with Jesus and abide in Him (John 15:4). Our desire is to help our teens act and think like God wants them to act and think (Philippians 2

3) Serve God and Others.
Focusing on serving conquers the natural self-centeredness of our age (Philippians 2:20-21). We believe that "serving" is one of the primary keys to a Christians' growth and maturity. Jesus said of himself; "I came to serve" and since we are to be like Jesus, serving is definitely a big part of it.
